The Board of Directors of Abaco Towns by the Sea has recently learned that at least two of our owners have been victimized by what can only be described as SCAMS designed to take advantage of the unsuspecting.

In both cases time-share owners paid several thousand dollars to transfer their weeks to organizations holding themselves out to be timeshare resellers. If these owners had followed the long-standing procedure of Abaco Towns by the Sea, they would have first contacted the Board about their plans. We would have explained that it is not necessary to pay someone to take your week.

If one of our owners can no longer afford the annual maintenance fees or simply can no longer travel to such a remote island and if they cannot find a buyer who will pay them for the timeshare, an Abaco Towns by the Sea time-share owner can simply CANCEL their week by returning their ownership certificate, marked CANCEL, to one of the Directors or directly to Chris Smith at the resort. There will be no pressure, no negative credit reporting.

Please do not be a victim.
